Privacy Policy
This policy explains what FitBis collects when you use the app and the fitbis.app website, why it is needed, who it is shared with, and how you can export or delete it.

What we collect
Account details: an email address and a user identifier, plus the identifier returned by an external provider if you chose to sign in through one. We never store passwords in plain text.
Profile data you enter yourself: age, sex, height, weight, activity level and nutritional goal. These are used solely to calculate your daily budget and rank dishes.
In-app activity: meals you logged, dishes you saved, searches, and display preferences such as language and writing direction.
Basic technical data: device type, operating system version, app version and crash reports, collected to fix crashes and improve performance.
Why we use it
To run the service: calculate a daily budget, track what has been eaten and surface dishes that fit what is left.
To improve the app: understand which screens are failing people, trace faults and correct wrong nutrition data.
To reach you about operational matters: account confirmation, a material change to the service, or a reply to something you sent us.
We do not build advertising profiles and we do not use your nutrition data for ad targeting.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
We do not pass your nutrition or health data to advertisers, insurers or employers.
We do not publish information that identifies you. Aggregate, anonymised figures, if we use them, cannot be traced back to an individual user.
Using the site without an account
You can browse fitbis.app without identifying yourself and without supplying any details. The site is static and sets no advertising trackers.
Some app capabilities — saving meals and tracking over time — require an account, because your data needs somewhere to live.
Service providers we rely on
We use external providers for data storage, user authentication, app-store subscription management and crash reporting. Each provider receives only the data it needs to do its job.
Charges themselves are processed by the App Store and Google Play. Payment details stay with them — we never see or store card numbers.
These providers are contractually required to protect the data and to use it only on our behalf.
Security
Data is transmitted encrypted, and internal access is limited to the people who need it for operations and support.
No system is completely immune. If we identify a security incident that could affect you, we will give notice as required by applicable law.
How long we keep it
Account and meal data are retained for as long as the account is active.
When an account is deleted, personal data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, except where we are legally required to retain it.
Your rights
You may review the data held about you, correct it, request a copy, or demand its deletion.
Account deletion is available inside the app, and you can also email us and we will handle the request.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may contact the Israeli Privacy Protection Authority.
Children
The service is not intended for users under 16. If we learn that data on a minor was collected without parental or guardian consent, we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy from time to time. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page, and material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
