Accessibility Statement
FitBis treats accessibility as part of the product rather than an add-on to it. This page sets out the accessibility level of the website, which measures are built into it, what is not yet fully accessible, and how to contact us if something does not work for you.

Our commitment
We work to make fitbis.app usable by everyone, including people with visual, hearing, motor or attention disabilities, and anyone relying on assistive technology such as a screen reader, screen magnification or keyboard-only navigation.
Accessibility is re-checked whenever the site changes materially, not only at launch.
Level of accessibility
This website is built to meet Israeli Standard IS 5568, which adopts the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments), 5773–2013.
The site has not yet undergone an external audit by a certified accessibility consultant. The adjustments described here were implemented and tested by us, and we correct any deficiency reported to us as quickly as we can.
Accessibility measures on this site
Full keyboard navigation: every link, button and menu can be reached with the Tab key, activated with Enter or Space, and dismissed with Escape. Keyboard focus is clearly outlined on every element.
Skip to content: the first link on every page jumps straight to the main content and bypasses the top navigation.
Semantic structure: each page is built from hierarchical headings, landmark regions (header, nav, main, footer) and lists, so a screen reader can navigate by structure rather than by visual position.
Text alternatives: functional images carry a text description, and decorative images are marked so that screen readers skip them.
Contrast and typography: text and background colours are chosen to meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1, text is sized in relative units, and the browser can zoom to 200% without loss of content.
Three languages and both writing directions: the site is available in Hebrew, Arabic and English, with the text direction declared at document level so screen readers pronounce each language correctly.
System preferences honoured: visitors who have asked their operating system to reduce motion are served the site without transitions or animation.
The accessibility menu
Every page carries a fixed accessibility button in the corner of the screen. Opening it reveals a menu that enlarges or reduces the text, switches on a high-contrast mode, highlights every link, applies a more legible font, stops animation and enlarges the mouse cursor.
The menu can be opened with the keyboard alone, and your choices are stored in your browser for future visits. A Reset button returns every setting to its original state.
We want to be clear about one thing: the accessibility menu is a convenience layer, not a substitute for the accessibility built into the site itself. The site is intended to work properly with assistive technology without ever opening that menu.
Parts that are not fully accessible
Nutritional values and dish names shown on the site and in the app originate in the menus of third-party businesses. They may contain partial wording, spelling errors or inconsistencies that are not fully within our control.
Links to the app stores and to external ordering services lead to third-party websites whose accessibility is the responsibility of their operators and is not tested by us.
If you come across any other element that is not accessible, please tell us — a report like that is the fastest way for us to find a defect and fix it.
Accessibility of the mobile app
The FitBis app for iOS and Android supports the operating system's accessibility settings, including screen readers (VoiceOver and TalkBack), system-wide text enlargement and reduced motion. The app is available in Hebrew, Arabic and English and adapts to both right-to-left and left-to-right layouts.
This statement relates primarily to the fitbis.app website. Enquiries about the accessibility of the app are handled at the same address.
